So here it is almost March 2011 and I havent blogged in MONTHS.... I started many months after giving birth with hopes of remembering and blogging from Jules birth on, well obviously that didnt work! So instead of trying to catch up, im going to just continue from today.
Being a mom, is probably the most rewarding job I have ever done. It has its ups and downs, highs and lows, but I would not trade one single second for anything. Jules is almost 17 months now and no joke she is going on 3. She is funny, witty, loving, smart and independent. We have so much fun together, being her mom brings me so much pride.
When I was first pregnant everyone gave the warnings about morning sickness, sleepless nights, teething etc etc.... what people should really warn you about the year after your MAT leave is up. I would honestly take back any of the above mentioned to have my long days with my precious daughter. No one warned me how hard it would be to leave her every day to head to work. And those who did, all said "dont worry it will get better with time" .... well im still waiting for it to get better. Although I love my job, I love being a full time mom more! 6 months into being back to work, and I still get teary eyed when I drop her off at the sitters. Most morning she kisses me goodbye and runs in to play with my friends children, but its the days that she just doesnt want me to leave that are the hardest! I know in my heart she loves being with the other kids, selfishly I want her to be with me. The lucky part about my job is I have the summer off, so 14 more weeks, and summer vaca will be upon us!
